Are Kind Laundry's detergent sheets actually EWG Verified and effective?
Kind Laundry makes zero-waste laundry detergent sheets, scent boosters, and stain removers from its Toronto headquarters. It's the first laundry detergent sheet brand to be EWG Verified, and backs that up with Leaping Bunny, USDA BioPreferred, and Mom's Choice Award recognition, plus over 2,500 five-star reviews.
What is Kind Laundry?
Kind Laundry is a Toronto-based, zero-waste laundry care brand best known for its pre-measured detergent sheets, which dissolve completely and work in cold or hot water, HE or traditional machines. The brand states it is the first and only laundry detergent sheet to be EWG Verified, and its fragrance-free formula also carries Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certification, USDA BioPreferred status, a Mom's Choice Award, and a clean rating on the Think Dirty app. The lineup includes six scent options (plus fragrance-free), in-wash scent boosters, vegan stain remover bars, wool dryer balls, and reusable laundry accessories.

What you get, what you give up
- Genuinely independently certified — EWG Verified (the first laundry detergent sheet to earn this), Leaping Bunny cruelty-free, and USDA BioPreferred, not just self-described "clean" marketing
- Formulated by a chemist with 30+ years of experience developing green cleaning products for major consumer brands, adding real technical credibility
- Genuinely convenient format — pre-cut, pre-measured sheets that dissolve completely with no plastic jugs or measuring cups
- Real 7-in-1 enzyme blend targets common stains (protease, amylase, lipase, and more), backed by a large volume of positive reviews specifically praising cleaning performance
- Featured across reputable outlets (Fast Company, Oprah Daily, Better Homes & Gardens, Refinery29), lending outside validation beyond the brand's own claims
- The order cancellation policy is strict — once an order is confirmed, no cancellations or changes are accepted, so double-check your cart before completing checkout
- The 60-day money-back guarantee applies only to a first-time single box purchase, not to bulk bundles or subscriptions, and excludes accessory items
- Popular scents (Neroli Zen, Lavender Dream, Amber Rouge) show frequent sold-out variants in certain sizes, suggesting demand can outpace restocking
- Sheets contain PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) as a binder — the brand states it's water-soluble and FDA-recognized as safe, but it's worth knowing for anyone specifically avoiding this ingredient
